Bookbinding: Flat Back Case Binding

10 to 4pm, both days

Make a flat back case binding that can be made from a sewn textblock, or single sheets of paper. Participants will be led through folding, sewing or simple perfect binding, all the way to the specialized cover. The whole book will be made using simple tools so anyone can continue a bookbinding practice at home. 

All classes take place at Kerner Marbled Studio in Rockland, Maine. Not local? Stay in beautiful Rockland, Maine or the surrounding areas. Many options are available at a variety of costs; suggested list available on request.
